On the 27th November 2007 Ivan was voted in as the Chairman of Cotes Heath and Standon Village Hall, taking over from the long standing and hardworking Tracey O'Flaherty.

Cotes Heath and Standon Village Hall is a charity set up in two deeds of trust leaving firstly the village hall and grounds to the trustees and committee to run and then at a later date the overflow car park was received from Staffordshire County Council.  This has given the committee the ability to expand operations of the village hall for the benefit of the local community and will continue to do so.

The Village Hall can now offer a bar with both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages on offer and also snacks.  The "Village Bar" runs by itself on the first and last Friday of every month, and is available for functions.

The Village Hall consists if two halls.  The large hall has a stage and store room that can be utilised, with a kitchen and toilets.  The second small hall is ideal for meetings, both are served by the bar.

Outside there is a large tarmac car park with disabled access to the village hall, and for large events there is a gravel over flow car park.

To the rear of the overflow car park is an open space area with a play area situated in its centre.  All the area is covered by CCTV.
