The discarding of the traditional Eccleshall Conservative
Party Carol Evening for a summer event yet to be decided on. Though I
think this is a shame if this years attendance is anything to go by then it
is understandable with myself for example paying for six tickets and
providing £40 worth of food but only able to find one other person who was
willing to attend, who ended up helping me for most of the night on car
parking duties. I then had to leave after about half an hour inside to
go down to Cambridge for political interviews the next day. |
 |
All members of the executive in attendance were asked if
they wished to maintain their positions (I asked David on this issue and
nominations for candidature of any executive position has to be in by
the 18th February) - all were willing to re-stand. |
 |
The date for the AGM was discussed (When I later had a
meeting with David and found out the date I then passed this onto Peter
Jones for publication, Peter had not at that time been made aware of the
date). |
 |
Membership levels are apparently down (I am to find out
numbers from the Stone Branch) since David took over the Chairmanship of the
branch a year ago. |
 |
The executive were informed of John Silito being ill.
I have since passed on my best wishes and thoughts, and when mentioning it
to David at our meeting he added to pass on those of the executive and
others in the party. |
