Breaking News:The Bank of England looks to be going to announce upto a 1% cut in interest rates. However financial experts do not think that this will end up being passed onto the customer. A cut in interest rates would help to stimulate the economy as people would start spending more. This same economic theory is the reason why lower tax rates helps improve the economy. Labours several hidden tax increases that we have heard about year upon year ever since they got into power may not be the reason for what is a world wide credit crunch but with people no longer having that extra money in their pockets it will mean the UK is hit even more by it. Breaking News: Democrates win the presidential election in America. The financial markets responded by taking yet another dive. The credit crunch, which has been made worse in the UK by the constant borrowing by the british government when the economy was running well was not helped by America's lurch to left wing politics. Breaking News: The Conservative Prospective Candidate Team is joined by Matt Richardson who is the youngest County Council Candidate in 30 years. The team includes Ivan Jennings, who in 2003 at 23 was the youngest ever Stafford Borough Councillor, Mark Heenan who is the youngest serving Borough Councillor after being elected in 2007 at 25. Breaking News: Problems with parking that residents of Milton Grove have suffered with for years are hopefully going to be addressed. Prospective County Council Candidate for the area Ivan Jennings is in talks with the county council officers to see what can be done. Residents who are effected will soon be recieving in the post copies of the letter sent to the councty council and a covering letter addressed to them. 	Welcome to ivanjennings.co.uk. Stafford West County Council Candidate Elections 2009 Eccleshall Borough Councillor since May 2003 Welcome to my website. I have tried to include events that are happening throughout the area as well as the political side to my duties as a Borough Councillor and also the work that I am doing as the Conservative County Council Candidate for Stafford West.
	For those who do not yet know me here is a little information to introduce myself. I have lived in the Stafford area all of my life apart from a brief spell when I was in Portsmouth, learning to swim and taking canoeing and karate lessons at the Riverside Centre. After gaining my BSc (Hons) in Resource Management down in Portsmouth I returned to the area to study law for my postgraduate course. Upon completion of this course I started work for a Government Agency based in their Stafford office. I currently live at Chapel Terrace in the centre of town and work for the County Council as a site supervisor.
	I have served on the Borough Council since 2003 representing the largest of the Borough wards, Eccleshall. This year I am the Borough representative on Thirlmere Way Elderly Citizens Day Centre, Stafford Tourism Bureau Executive and also sit on the Public Appeals Committee among my other duties. One of the reasons I am standing as a candidate in the upcoming County Council elections is that I would like to extend the community involvement throughout the Stafford West area as the County Councillor for that division, and help more people with, and also get positive out comes for, the issues that you may have over the term of my office if elected. - Ivan Jennings July 2008
